Introduction
It is my personal belief that martial arts of any form need not be complex
nor complicated for those who are seeking to perfect its techniques. The key to proficency lies in its simplicity.
The figure eight method of attack and counter is a reflection of this approach. One technique, if developed to its depth and
breadth can deal with almost any type of attacks and counters. One need merely to develop good timing, distance, rhythm and
spontanieity. This volume and succeeding volumes will reflect the philosophy of simplicity.
It is my hope
that this humble presentation will be of value to the serious martial artist and the beginner alike. It is my desire that
all systems and methods be compliment to each other. If something in this volume has helped you to reach another plateau or
taken you a step closer to perfection, then I feel my time and efforts have been worthwhile.
